Ondřej Provazník is a Prague-based Czech writer-director. He studied Journalism at Charles University in Prague and Screenwriting at FAMU. Together with fellow director Martin Dušek, he co-directed the acclaimed feature documentaries A Town Called Hermitage(2007) and Coal in the Soul (2010), followed by the award-winning fiction feature Old-Timers (2019). In 2025, his second fiction feature and first solo film, Broken Voices, premiered in the Crystal Globe Competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film has received numerous awards in the Czech Republic and abroad, screened at more than 70 film festivals across five continents, and is set for theatrical release in more than 20 countries
